How to choose the right tractor implement
Start by deciding what the job actually is — primary tillage, secondary tillage, digging or material handling — and then select an implement that matches your tractor's HP, hydraulic capacity and linkage category.
Step 1 — Define the job
To open a field, you need an MB plough or a reversible disc plough. To make the soil fine after ploughing, use a cultivator. For fencing or plantation holes, use a post hole digger. To lift and shift material, use a front end loader.
Step 2 — Look at your soil condition
An MB plough gives good results in soft to medium soil. In hard, dry, stony or residue-heavy soil, a disc plough is more practical.
Step 3 — Check tractor compatibility
The implement's requirement must match the tractor's HP and hydraulic lift capacity. Fitting an oversized implement to an under-powered tractor gives poor work quality and increases wear on both machines.
