What is a reversible disc plough?
A reversible disc plough is a tractor-mounted primary tillage implement in which rotating concave discs cut and turn the soil, while the reversible mechanism throws soil to the same side on both directions of travel.
How it works
The discs rotate as they enter the soil, cut a slice and turn it to one side. Because of this rolling action, the implement is less likely to jam on stones and roots.
रिवर्सिबल होने का फायदा
साधारण हल से जुताई करने पर खेत में गहरी नालियाँ और मेड़ बन जाती हैं, जिन्हें बाद में समतल करना पड़ता है।
रिवर्सिबल हल हर चक्कर पर पलट जाता है और मिट्टी एक ही तरफ डालता है। इससे खेत समतल रहता है, पानी एक जगह नहीं रुकता और मोड़ पर लगने वाला समय भी बचता है।
When to use it
A disc plough is the better choice for hard, dry, stony or residue-heavy fields, especially where an MB plough cannot penetrate easily.
