Farming in MP and its implement requirements

Madhya Pradesh grows soybean, wheat, gram, mustard and paddy over large areas. The window between the kharif harvest and rabi sowing is short, so fields have to be prepared quickly — which is where a plough and cultivator combination is used most.

Many parts of the state have black cotton soil, which becomes very hard once it dries. In those conditions a reversible disc plough is more practical, while an MB plough gives better inversion in medium soil. A cultivator is then used to prepare a fine seedbed.

काली मिट्टी सूखने पर सख्त हो जाती है और गीली होने पर चिपकती है, इसलिए जुताई का समय सही होना बहुत जरूरी है। उचित नमी पर जुताई करने से डीजल कम लगता है और ढेले भी कम बनते हैं। बाड़बंदी और फलदार पौधरोपण के लिए पोस्ट होल डिगर, तथा खलिहान व मंडी में सामान उठाने के लिए फ्रंट लोडर उपयोगी रहता है।
